Open Settings with **Cmd+,** (Ctrl+, on Windows and Linux) or the gear at the bottom of the sidebar. The search box at the top finds a setting on any page.

## Where things are

| Page             | What's there                                                                  |

| **General**      | Sidebar, chat, terminal, notifications and sounds.                            |
| **Theme**        | Light or dark, theme colors, contrast, and transparency.                      |
| **Agents**       | Which agents appear, install or update their CLIs, and your default agent.    |
| **Accounts**     | Your Claude and Codex logins. See [Accounts and limits](/workflows/accounts). |
| **Actions**      | Saved commands and links for the **Start** button.                            |
| **Extensions**   | Turn views and header buttons on or off, and install extensions.              |
| **Integrations** | Skills that teach your agents how to use Ghostex.                             |
| **Remote**       | Your phone and other computers. See [Your phone](/anywhere/phone).            |
| **Hotkeys**      | Every keyboard shortcut. See [Keyboard shortcuts](/customize/hotkeys).        |

Some settings are hidden until you turn on **Show Advanced**.

## Themes

The **Theme** page lets you pick **System**, **Light** or **Dark**, choose a color theme for each, and set the background contrast. Turn on **Transparency** to let your desktop show softly through the window (macOS and Windows).

## Let Ghostex change it for you

You don't have to find the right setting yourself. Open **⋯ > Ask Ghostex** and describe what you want, like "turn off the completion sound" or "make the sidebar interface bigger". It makes the change and tells you what it changed.
