The **Automate** view runs agents for you on a schedule. Use it for chores you'd otherwise start by hand: a daily dependency check, a nightly code review, or a weekly summary of what changed.

## Create an automation

Open **Automate** from the view panel and add a new automation. Give it:

- **A name** and **the agent** to run.
- **A prompt**: what the agent should do each time.
- **A schedule**: once, every few minutes or hours, daily, weekly, or a cron expression, in your time zone.
- **Where it runs**: in your project folder, in a fresh [worktree](/workflows/git) so it doesn't touch your work, or in an existing agent conversation.

Each run shows up in the list with its status and full transcript. Archive runs you've checked.

**All Automations** in the sidebar's More Options menu lists automations across every project.

## One-off timed messages

To send a single message later, right-click a session and choose **Advanced > Delayed Send**. Send it after a delay, at a set time, or when an agent finishes.
