Other computers
Run agents on another machine and use them from this one.
Ghostex can control agents on other computers: a desktop at home, a build server, or a Linux box in the cloud. Their projects and sessions appear in your sidebar next to your own, and their terminals stream into your window.
Connect a computer
Open Settings > Remote
Under Remote machines, choose Add a machine.
Enter how to reach it
Use SSH details (address and username), or an Easy Connect code from Ghostex on that computer.
Install and connect
Click Install / Connect. Ghostex sets itself up on the other computer and connects.
The computer then appears at the top of the sidebar, next to Local. Click it to see its projects.
Good to know
- macOS, Windows and Linux computers can all connect to each other. A Windows computer needs Ghostex installed and SSH turned on.
- Code, the Browser, and links to
localhostwork through the remote computer, so you can edit its files and open its dev servers. - Each computer keeps running its own agents, even when you disconnect.
